Will You Trust?

One day, a mountaineer was going up a very high mountain.

He was so proud, he was climbing all by himself.

It was very dangerous to climb up a snowy mountain all alone, but he was so proud, he believed he didn’t need anyone.

By nightfall, common sense dictated that he set up camp. But he kept climbing because he wanted to reach the summit quickly.

But in his exhaustion, his foot slipped.

And he found himself free falling through the air. He closed his eyes and saw flashbacks of his life.

All of a sudden, he felt a jolt—and violent pull around his waist. The rope tied around his belt saved him!

In total darkness, he was now hanging onto his rope.

And he shouted, “God, if you’re up there, save me!”

Suddenly, he heard a voice say, “If you believe that I can save you, do what I tell you to do…”

He answered, “What should I do?”

The voice said, “Cut your rope.”

       “Wha…what?” he said.

“Cut the rope and let go,” the voice said.

After a few moments, he shouted again, “Is there anyone else up there?”

The next day, mountain climbers saw his limp body, hanging by the rope, frozen to death. The curious thing about what they saw?  He was hanging only 2 feet from the ground.

He was a proud person, even until his death.

Many people are like that: They trust in their rope more than in their God. They trust in their money, in their abilities, in their connections, in their intelligence more than in their God.

Will you trust God today for the problems that you don’t know how to solve?

The rope symbolizes your pride.

Cut the rope and let go.

Trust in God.

Stay empty. Stay humble.

And receive all that God has promised for you.

What Happens When You Don’t Care

A dear friend sent this story to me.

It’s such a powerful tale that mirrors reality so well.

One day, a mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package.  “What food might this contain?”  The mouse wondered. He was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.
Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed this warning: “There is a mousetrap in the house!  There is a mousetrap in the house!”

The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, “Mr. Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it.”

The mouse turned to the pig and told him, “There is a mousetrap in the house!  There is a mousetrap in the house!”

The pig sympathized, but said, “I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray.  Be assured you are in my prayers.”

The mouse turned to the cow and said, “There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!”

The cow said, “Wow, Mr. Mouse. I’m sorry for you, but it’s no skin off my nose.”

So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer’s mousetrap. Alone. . .

That very night a sound was heard throughout the house – the sound Of a mousetrap catching its prey.

The farmer’s wife rushed to see what was caught.  In the darkness, she did not see it.  It was a venomous snake whose tail was caught in the trap. The snake bit the farmer’s wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital. When she returned home she still had a fever. Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup. So the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup’s main ingredient: Chicken!

But his wife’s sickness continued.  Friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock.  To feed them, the farmer butchered (who else?) the pig.

But, alas, the farmer’s wife did not get well… She died.

So many people came for her funeral that the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them for the funeral luncheon.

And the mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness.

So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and you think it doesn’t concern you, remember–When one of us is threatened, we are all at risk. We are all involved in this journey called life. We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another.

Each of us is a vital thread in another person’s tapestry. Our lives are woven together for a reason.

Obnoxy Pics

Good boy ako, promise! :p

Have you ever been taken a photo while you were eating? or Do you have an idea how do you look like while chewing your favorite meal?

I remember the last day of our Photo exhibit at the mall, we had a dinner break in KFC. Fortunately I have my digicam with me and made terror to the whole group! LMAO

I took lots of photos that day and few of them are very obnoxious! I can't even imagine how I look while I'm eating. LOL. I have a connivance with me, a not-so-good friend but she's pretty (nah! she's evil). We took the photos in a furtive and cautious manner without anyone knowing, It's as if we are looking at the photos in the camera but actually shots are taken while they're eating like crocs!

She's one of my closest friend, but she can't escape my camera! LOL

HAHAHAHA! I'm sorry Acky! LOL

and finally, the best photo of them all. :))

I hope none of my org members found ot about my blog. hahaha. It would be a BIG catastrophe! bka matangal pa ako. LOL

Please don't go - by Mike Posner

Just run away
From these lies
Back to yesterday
Safe tonight
I feel the sun creeping up like tik tok
I'm trying to keep you in my head but if not
We'll just keep running from tomorrow with our lips locked
Yeah you got me begging begging

Baby please don't go
If I wake up tomorrow will you still be here
I don't know
If you feel the way I do
If you leave I'm gonna find you
Baby please don't go go go go
Baby please don't go go go go
Baby please don't go go go go

Baby please don't
Baby please don't
Baby please don't runaway
From my bed and start another day
Stay instead

I feel the sun creeping up like tik tok
I'm trying to keep you in my head but if not
We'll just keep running from tomorrow with our lips locked
Yeah you got me begging begging baby please don't go

If I wake up tomorrow will you still be here
I don't know
If you feel the way I do
If you leave I'm gonna find you
Baby please don't go go go go
Baby please don't go go go go
Baby please don't go go go go
Baby please don't
Baby please don't

I stay running from tomorrow
I stay running from tomorrow
Well I stay running from tomorrow
Said I stay running from tomorrow

Baby please don't go (please don't go)
If I wake up tomorrow will you still be here
I don't know
If you feel the way I do
If you leave I'm gonna find you (I'm gone, I'm gone, I'm gonna find you)
Baby please don't go go go go
Baby please don't go go go go (don't leave me, leave me)
Baby please don't go go go go
Baby please don't
Baby please don't

This is NOT a joke. If you were able to pass these 3 tests, you can cancel your annual visit to your neurologist. Your brain is great and you're far from having a close relationship with Alzheimer.

Congratulations!

Let me tell you about my Friends..

"Tell me who your friends are and I'll tell you who you are"

Warning: They may not be the most good-looking  fabulous kutong lupa in town but they are the best people I know! (haha. LOL)

I miss my College days. I'm only 22 and I just graduated last year pero there is something in that chapter of my life that I am just longing. How I wish we can do the same again like what we were last year. Now that all of us are fully pledged nurses (yey!), though we do not see each other very well, we are blissful and still one as a group.

Now how will I describe my Friends? Since we are in the same class during college we are about at the same age. (Almost) All of us are shingles including me and we consider ourselves SAWI! (Single At Walang Iniintindi). Believe me we are enjoying each others' presence even though no relationships are being formed (yet. haha).

Sometimes we don't understand each other well, I guess that's normal. We are still individuals, we have different opinions about things and we're unique. Our demeanor differs individually but we are united with our goal in life: To reach the summit of success! (as a nurse sana). With this kind of country where nurses are under compensated and not supported by the government, how I wish nagpasakop nalang tayo sa mga Amerikano di na sana ako nag NCLEX (haha). Those who are serving the military are very lucky with all the benefits and everything! We are risking our own lives too you know! However, slowly but surely we are working hard to make our dreams come true.

We know that sometimes we're not available because of work, but we make sure that we have time for our barkada and stuffs. Every once in a while we hang-out and make kumustahan with an ensemble of kalokohan, kwentuhan, kalibugan, and most importantly chibugan. Indeed my old chums brings color to my life. I know we're not the best/must-know-who/likable people on earth but we are the best of what and who we are (ching!).

Ang Pangit namin! (ching!)
